Senior Colonel Le Duc Tuyen, Vice Head of the Police Investigation Agency under the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) attended and delivered keynote speech at the event.
The ADSTC 36 is a symposium to discuss the exploitation and use of the ASEANAPOL Database System, assess the effectiveness of the system, and provide solutions to problems arising during the exploitation and use the system. Notably, this is the first meeting of the Technical Committee since the ASEANAPOL Database System version 2.0 was put into operation.
Speaking at the event, Senior Colonel Le Duc Tuyen stressed that the establishment of the ASEANAPOL database system version 2.0, in response to rapid scientific and technological changes, has helped ASEANAPOL members promote cooperation in crime prevention and fight. He also suggested that delegates propose approaches to effectively exploit the ASEANAPOL database system to better support member countries in the prevention and fight of crimes.
The ADSTC 36 takes place on June 11 and 12. In addition to discussing approaches to optimize the ASEANAPOL Database System version 2.0, participants also shared and exchanged information about new applications of information technology to prevention and fight against crimes.
