The event saw the presence of Mr. Le Huy Hoang, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to the Republic of Mozambique.
On behalf of the high-ranking delegation of the Ministry of Public Security, Minister To Lam briefed the delegates on the situation of security and order in the home country as well as the cooperation results between the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam and the Mozambique side.
Minister To Lam emphasized that the Party and the State of Vietnam always pay attention to the overseas Vietnamese communities in general and the Vietnamese nationals working, studying and living in Mozambique in particular.
The Party and the State highly appreciate the contribution of the Vietnamese community in Mozambique, including the positive contribution of Vietnamese diplomatic officers and employees in Mozambique, to the socio-economic construction and development of homeland and the traditional friendship between Vietnam and Mozambique.
Minister To Lam recognized and appreciated the efforts of the Vietnamese Embassy’s staff in Mozambique in promoting the multifaceted bilateral relationship between the two countries.
Minister To Lam urged the Embassy's staff to realize the commitments and agreements between the two countries, promote exchange of high-ranking delegations between the two sides, people-to-people exchange and the bilateral relationship while firmly protecting legitimate interests of Vietnamese expatriates in the country.
* On this occasion, Minister To Lam and the Vietnamese high-ranking delegation laid flowers at Ho Chi Minh Boulevard and the Mozambique Hero Monument in Maputo.
Ho Chi Minh Boulevard is a symbol of the close friendship between the Vietnamese and Mozambique peoples.
Later, Minister To Lam and the Vietnamese high-ranking delegation also inquired after officers and employees of Movitel, an affiliate of the Military-Run Telecommunication and Industry Group (Viettel) in Mozambique.
