PPA team wins scientific research contest for Asian police cadets

MPS - A team of students from the People's Police Academy (PPS) has won the highest prize at the 6th International Undergraduate Conference on Policing (IUCP) held online by the Korean National Police University.

After completing and submitting its research report on “Signs of cyber bullying among Vietnamese adolescents - Focus on defining and spotting signs of cyberbullying from victims' perspectives”, the PPA team - including Nguyen Nhat Linh (Class B11D43) and Ly Dieu Hoang (Class B16D43) - had been selected by the Organizing Committee as one of the six best teams from five Asian police training institutions, namely the PPA, the Korean National Police University, the Indonesian National Police Academy, the Philippine National Police Academy and the Mongolian University of the Interior, to compete in the final round on August 28.

Earlier, the teams had recorded their presentations and submitted the video clips to the Organizing Committee.

In the final round, the teams’ presentations were displayed and then they answered questions raised by the Board of Judges for 30 minutes.

According to the official results released by the organizing committee, the students of the PPA won the first prize while the second prize went to a team of the Korean National Police University. Four third prizes went to the teams from the Philippines, Indonesia, Mongolia, and another police team of the South Korea.
