Senior Lao security officer pledges to boost security cooperation with Vietnam

MPS - Senior Lieutenant General Bui Van Nam, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Public Security received a delegation of the Internal Security Department, Ministry of Security of the Lao People's Democratic Republic led by Senior Lieutenant Colonel, Director of the Internal Security Department PhengKham Vongsombath who are on their working visit to Vietnam.

At the reception, Deputy Minister Bui Van Nam emphasized that the traditional friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Laos had been continuously strengthened and expanded in the past years.

The Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security and the Lao Ministry of Security have well implemented the 2018 cooperation plan and achieved good outcomes, contributing to strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries.

Deputy Minister Bui Van Nam believed that the visit of Senior Lieutenant Colonel PhengKham Vongsombath and the Lao delegation cemented the ties between the two countries in general, and bolstered cooperation between the two ministries in particular. He suggested that two sides continue to expand cooperation in all fields, especially in internal security protection, contributing to peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region and world.

Director PhengKham Vongsombath expressed sincere thanks to Deputy Minister Bui Van Nam for the reception, and appreciated the good ties between two countries, and the effective cooperation between two ministries, thereby contributing to protecting the national interests and security of each country. He also pledged to do his best to further strengthen the traditional friendship and cooperation between two countries and two ministries.
