Vietnam, China agreed to boost cooperation in fighting trans-border crimes

MPS - Deputy Minister of Public Security Nguyen Van Thanh held talks with his Chinese counterpart Liu Zhao in Beijing, China on the sidelines of the second Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation (BRF) on April 25 – 27.

At the talks, the two Deputy Ministers reaffirmed that the fine traditional relations between the two countries had been enhanced in all aspects over the past years.

The cooperation between the two ministries also enjoyed important developments, making contributions to developing the relations between the two Parties, States and peoples.

Deputy Minister Thanh recommended the two sides to promote bilateral partnership from the Central level to local ones toward practical outcomes, with a focus on cooperation between localities on the two sides of the shared Vietnam - China borderline. 

The two deputy ministers agreed that the two countries’ public security ministries should enhance exchange of experience in Party building, political education, and management of the press and media. They said they will also work together in combating trans-border crime, drug-related crime, human trafficking, and high-tech crime as well as in training personnel and maintaining social security and order in the digital age.
