Vietnam, the US strengthen cooperation in fighting drug-related crimes

MPS - The Drug-related Crime Police Department under the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) of the United States signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in fight against transnational drug-related crimes (MoU) on July 9, in Hanoi.

Lt. Gen. Pham Van Cac and Mr. Rusell Holske exchanged the signed Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in the fight against transnational drug-related crimes.


Speaking at the signing ceremony, Lieutenant General Pham Van Cac, Director of the Drug-related Crime Police Department affirmed that the signing of the MoU has met the requirements of the international anti-drug trend and the need of each country.

The MoU has become the single legal framework for the cooperation between two sides in the field of drug prevention that creates favorable conditions for the anti-drug forces of both sides to cooperate effectively in drug-related crime investigation, information exchange, personnel training and other contents in the next three years.
