Vietnamese and Lao police forces sign MoU on ensuring security and order

MPS - The Thua Thien Hue Provincial Police Department (Vietnam) on July 23 signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on cooperation in ensuring security and order with the police forces of Champasak and Savannakhet provinces, Laos.

This is an annual activity to mark the 60th anniversary of Vietnam-Laos diplomatic ties (September 5, 1962 - 2022), the 45th anniversary of the signing of the Vietnam-Laos Treaty of Amity and Cooperation (July 18, 1977 - 2022) and the Vietnam - Laos, Laos - Vietnam Solidarity and Friendship Year 2022.


Over the past time, the police force in Thua Thien Hue Province has closely coordinated with the police forces of the neighboring provinces of Laos to exchange, provide information, and handle security-related cases.

The police forces of two sides also advised local authorities to implement the tasks of socio-economic development in association with ensuring national defense and security, with a focus of mobilize people in border to well observe the guidelines and policies of the two Parties, two states.

On this occasion, Director of the Thua Thien Hue Provincial Police Department and the Director of the Police Department of Champasak and Savannakhet provinces signed a MoU on cooperation in ensuring security and order.

Accordingly, they will cooperate in the fields of ensuring security, immigration management, crime prevention and combat, cooperation in exchange of delegations, information sharing.
