Vietnam’s MPS and Ministry of Interior of Cambodia sign 2019 cooperation plan
MPS - The Ministry of Public Security (MPS) of Vietnam on January 11 held talks and signed the 2019 Cooperation Plan with the Ministry of Interior of Cambodia.
Both talks and signing ceremony were co-chaired by Senior Lieutenant General To Lam, Minister of Public Security of Vietnam and Mr. Samdech Krolahom Sar Kheng, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior of Cambodia.

Speaking at the event, Minister To Lam highlighted that the cooperation between the two ministries has achieved good results in recent years, particularly in maintaining security and order in the areas on both sides of the shared border, and preventing and combating transnational crimes.
The cooperation of the two sides also created favorable conditions for people of the two countries to do business, as well as helped Vietnamese Cambodians in the Tonlé Sap area settle down their lives.

Minister To Lam also briefed the guest on the new organizational apparatus of the MPS and expressed hope that the cooperation between the two ministries would gain more achievements in 2019 and the following years. He believed that the close coordination and cooperation between the two ministries would contribute to the goal set by the two Government of achieving 5 billion USD in bilateral trade revenue.
Mr. Samdech Krolahom Sar Kheng highly appreciated the socio-economic achievements of Vietnam in 2018 as well as the practical cooperation outcomes between the two ministries, and expressed his hope that the two sides would tighten their ties to contribute to realizing the targets set by the two Governments.
After the talks, the two sides signed the cooperation plan for 2019.
