Over the past five years, the Bac Lieu Provincial Police Department has launched many short-term and long-term emulation drives on force building, as well as campaigns to prevent and combat crimes and the movement "For Homeland Security". Particularly, the campaigns and movements had practical contents and creative forms; as a result, they created a positive emulation spirit among police officers and soldiers in the province.
During the period of time, the Bac Lieu provincial police prosecuted 48 suspects of criminal cases and successfully investigated 192 cases equivalent to nearly 81%.
They have also solved cases related to economic and high-tech crimes, recovered the lost public assets, prosecuted 32 suspects from 52 provinces and cities, and seized VND 150 billion. Meanwhile, 98.5% of the denunciations, crime reports and prosecution proposals were handled.
For their efforts and achievements over the past time, two units under the Bac Lieu Provincial Police Department have been awarded the Frist- and Third-class “Feat of Arms” Orders by the Party and the State. Many teams and individuals of the provincial police also received various other noble rewards from authorities at all levels.
Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister Le Tan Toi asked the Bac Lieu Provincial Police Department to follow directions of the Ministry of Public Security, the Bac Lieu Provincial Party Committee and People's Committee in promoting the emulation movement “For Homeland Security”, the movement “All people protect the national security”, the movement “Public Security Forces studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s morals, thoughts and lifestyle”, and the movement “Public Security Forces studying and following Uncle Ho’s six teachings”, so as to encourage its officers and soldiers to fulfill their assigned political tasks.
Deputy Minister Le Tan Toi also urged the awardees at the meeting to make greater efforts at work and in fighting crimes, contributing to further promoting the emulation movement “For Homeland Security” of the Bac Lieu Provincial Police Department in particular and the whole People's Public Security Forces in general.
