The contest is organized to promote the scientific research within the Fire Police Force, improve the quality of training, contributing to promoting scientific research on fire prevention and fight and rescue within the Fire Police Force as well as among all Vietnamese and foreign individuals and organizations. It also aims to mobilize social resources for scientific and technological research on fire prevention and fight and rescue. Via the contest, the organizers also hope to find outstanding scientific works and initiatives so as to invest in and develop and apply them to improve the effectiveness of ensuring fire safety and rescue work.
Speaking at the launching ceremony, Major General Doan Viet Manh, Director of the Police Department of Fire Prevention, Fighting and Rescue, highlighted the importance of scientific research and application of technology in fire prevention and fighting in the current situation. He also hoped that the contest would draw a large number of police officers as well as Vietnamese and foreign people.
He also suggested contestants should focus on digitizing information about fire and explosion cases, and connecting fire alarming systems at facilities to fire police offices, support tools and materials to control the spread of fire.
All ideas and projects sent to the contest must be new, creative and applicable as well as facilitate fire prevention, fighting and rescue activities. All entries must be submitted to the Police Department of Fire Prevention, Fighting and Rescue from March to July 15, at 2A, Dinh Le Street, Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi.
