According to reports delivered by leaders of the Cao Bang Provincial Police Department, over the first three months of 2020, the local police paid due attention to grasping the local situation, and advise the Party committees and authorities at all levels on measures to ensure political security, social order and safety while proactively preventing crimes and addressing complex security issues at the grassroots level in a timely and effective manner. As the result, the number of criminal offenses has decreased sharply compared to the same period in 2019.
In addition, the Cao Bang Provincial Police Department has deployed full-time police officers to all 153 communes and townships in the province.
Amid the complicated development of the COVID-19 situation, the local police took various drastic measures against COVID-19 epidemic, contributing to preventing the virus from spreading in the local community. The Cao Bang provincial police also attached importance to detecting and handling cases of spreading false information about the disease situation on social networks.
Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister Bui Van Nam recognized and spoke highly of the achievements obtained by the local police officers and soldiers over the past time.
The Deputy Minister suggested that, in the coming time, the Cao Bang Provincial Police Department should continue to take drastic measures to prevent the epidemic while upholding their vigilance and determination to fight crimes, contributing to ensuring public order and security in the locality. Besides, they should draw up plans to protect absolute security and safety for Party congresses at all levels in preparation for the 13th National Party Congress.
On this occasion, Deputy Minister Bui Van Nam presented medical facemasks to Cao Bang police officers and soldiers who are involved directly in the fight against COVID-19.
