Deputy Minister Bui Van Nam works with Phu Yen provincial police

MPS - Senior Lieutenant General Bui Van Nam, Member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Minister of Public Security leading a delegation of the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) on May 26 worked with the Phu Yen Provincial Police Department.

At the meeting, Major General Phan Van Thanh, Director of the Phu Yen Provincial Police Department, briefed the Deputy Minister and other delegates on the unit’s task performance results over the past months of 2020 and its plan for the remaining months.

According to the report, over the past time, the Phu Yen provincial police have closely followed the directions of the Public Security Central Party Committee, the MPS and the local authorities to effectively ensure local security and social order.

The local police forces have successfully suppressed crimes of all kinds, well maintained traffic order and safety as well as coordinated with other functional forces to effectively prevent and fight the COVID-19 pandemic in the locality.

They protected absolute safety for important political events, cultural and social activities organized in the province. The Phu Yen police have also posted professional police officers to all 86 local communes.

Speaking at the meeting, on behalf of the Public Security Central Party Committee and the MPS, Deputy Minister Bui Van Nam praised the task performance results of the Phu Yen provincial police over the past years.

The Deputy Minister requested the Phu Yen provincial police to continue taking preventive measures against COVID-19 while ensuring local security and social order. They should also maintain security for the organization of Party congresses at all levels in preparation for the 13th National Party Congress.
