The Hai Duong provincial police forces have set up COVID-19 taskforce groups with 1,000 police officers and soldiers. All officers and soldiers of the taskforce groups will work and stay at 20 separate places across the province and will not return their offices and families still the end of the epidemic.
According to Senior Colonel Le Ngoc Chau, Director of the Hai Duong Provincial Police Department, the provincial police forces, in coordination with military units, health sector and other functional forces, have established 166 interdisciplinary checkpoints to control around the clock the entry into and exit from Hai Duong province.
At communes, wards and townships, the communal-level police force set up taskforce groups to ensure the quarantine of the localities and mobilize local people to strictly implement Directive No.16 of the Prime Minister.
Senior Colonel Nguyen Hong Nguyen, Deputy Chief of the Ministerial Office and Deputy Head of the Ministry of Public Security’s Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control, has inspected the checkpoint at the intersection between the Hanoi - Hai Phong Expressway and the National Highway 38B (Hai Duong). At the inspection, he praised the efforts of the Hai Duong police in preventing COVID-19 and inquired after on-duty police officers and soldiers at the checkpoint.
