Hoa Binh city police arrest 20 people using illicit drugs at karaoke bar

MPS - The Hoa Binh city’s police on September 11 caught 20 people red-handed using illicit drugs at Minh Minh Karaoke Bar (located in Village No. 7, Su Ngoi commune, Hoa Binh city, Hoa Binh province).

Reportedly, at around 1:00 am on September 11, the police of Hoa Binh city inspected Minh Minh Karaoke Bar run by Vu Thi Kim Minh, (born in 1973, residing in Huu Nghi ward, Hoa Binh city).

At the scene, the police detected 20 youngsters in using narcotics in two karaoke lounges of the bar. The police then arrested them and seized several exhibits, including two ATM cards, one ceramic plate, a plastic bag containing white powder suspected of heroin, and two pieces suspected of synthetic drugs.

Based on the suspects’ testimonies, the police decided that Le Duc Hung (born in 1982, residing in Dong Tien ward, Hoa Binh city) was the one who organized the drug party at the bar. The police then called on Le Duc Hung to surrender himself to the authorities. At the police station, he admitted his crimes.

Based on the documents and evidence, the Criminal Investigation Agency under the Hoa Binh City Police Station issued a decision to arrest Le Duc Hung and four other suspects for further investigation, including Nguyen Van Dung (also known as Dung "Baldy", born in 1968, residing in Van Phuc village, Ha Dong district, Hanoi), Ha Long Nhat (an employee of the karaoke bar,born in 2002, residing in Mai Chau town, Hoa Binh province), Bui Duc Hung (born in 1992, residing in Thong Nhat ward, Hoa Binh city) and Nguyen Van Thanh (born in 1992, residing in Mai Chau town, Hoa Binh province).

Currently, the Hoa Binh city police are expanding the investigation and collecting more evidence to handle the persons involved in accordance with the laws.
