Minister To Lam: Whole political system, agencies, organizations and people should join efforts in mass mobilization

MPS - The Ministry of Public Security (MPS) on March 11 in coordination with the Central Commission for Mass Mobilization and the Central Committee of the Fatherland Front of Vietnam (VFF) organized a video conference to review 5 years implementing the coordination program No. 09/CTr-BCA-MTTW on promoting the movement of “All people protecting national security” in the new situation; 5 years of the action program No. 22-CTr/DUCA-V28 and 2 years of the coordination program No. 38-CTr/BDVTW on the implementation of mass mobilization.

Reports at the conference highlighted that the implementation of the three programs gained various fruitful outcomes, emphasizing the importance of the coordination of the Public Security Forces in mobilizing the masses in protecting security and order.

Participants in the conference openly discussed and assessed the situations, pointed out various weaknesses and shortcomings in the mass mobilization and the building of the movement of “All people protecting national security” and proposed various solutions.

Speaking at the conference, Minister of Public Security To Lam emphasized that the MPS always attached great importance to the mass mobilization work and the building of the movement. He also asked the Public Security Forces, the Central Mass Mobilization Commission and the Fatherland Front of Vietnam and relevant agencies to strengthen their coordination to promote the comprehensive strength of and the whole political system and society in the protection of national security, social order and safety.

On this occasion, the Fatherland Front of Vietnam also presented Certificates of Merit to 64 collectives and 126 officers of the Public Security Forces while the MPS also honored 199 collectives and 266 individuals of the Fatherland Front of Vietnam with outstanding achievements.
