Ministry of Public Security solemnly holds funeral for three martyrs in Dong Tam incident

MPS - The Public Security Central Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security on January 16 solemnly held a public security-protocol funeral for three public security officers killed when performing their duties in Dong Tam commune, My Duc district of Hanoi.

The funeral was held at the National Funeral Hall (at No. 5 Tran Thanh Tong, Hanoi City) under the People’s Public Security Forces’ protocol.  At the funeral, public security officers and relatives of the martyrs all showed deep sentiment and great respect for the fallen police officers.

The delegations commemorate the three martyrs.

 

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, Standing Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh and the delegation of the Governmental Office were the first to pay tribute to the martyrs at the funeral.

Then, General To Lam, Minister of Public Security, leading a delegation of the Public Security Central Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security paid homage to the fallen police officers.

The martyrs’ families mourn at the funeral.

 

Representatives from other ministries, Central-level and local agencies and units under the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of National Defense and numerous people from across the country attended the funeral, expressing their condolences and sympathy for the great pains and losses of the martyrs' families.

On the same day, the memorial service was carried out and the bodies of the martyrs were then sent off to their last resting places.

* Earlier, Minister To Lam handed the First-class Feat of Arms Orders awarded by the State President and the Certificates of National Merit rewarded by the Prime Minister to the families of three martyrs.
