Over the last 5 years, agencies and units under the two ministries have seriously and effectively implemented the coordination regulation. Particularly, the MPS and the Ministry of Health regularly and effectively coordinated in drafting policies and legal documents in the health sector, creating an important legal basis for coordinating and ensuring security and order in the health sector.
The two sides frequently exchanged information; as a result, relevant agencies of the two ministries jointly handled thousands of reports on wrongdoings and law offences in the health sector, contributing to maintaining security and order in medical examination, treatment, and medicine distribution.
The two sides also promoted coordination in checking and inspecting operations of health agencies and units in accordance to the laws. The two sides teamed up to effectively handle complaints and denunciations regarding healthcare and mobilized people to actively participate in the fight against crimes, which contributed to preventing and curbing wrongdoings and law offences in the health sector and at hospitals and medical establishments nationwide.
Speaking at the event, Minister of Public Security To Lam and Minister of Health Nguyen Thi Kim Tien recognized and applauded the achievements gained by relevant units under the two Ministries in implementing the coordination regulation.
Minister To Lam emphasized that the police will coordinate closely with the health sector in ensuring security and order in the health sector. He also hoped that leaders of the Health Ministry as well as all doctors and medical workers at health agencies and healthcare facilities will coordinate and support the police in ensuring security and order, providing good medical services for police officers and soldiers, and training health workers at hospitals of the Public Security Forces.
On this occasion, the two ministries presented Certificates of Merit to 40 teams and individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing the coordination regulation.
