At the event, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh briefed the participants on the concept, features of the 4th industrial revolution as well as the opportunities and challenges facing the Public Security Forces.
Deputy Minister Thanh mentioned 15 major fields, particularly artificial intelligence, renewable energy, robots, 3D printing, Internet of Things, and introduced 21 future-shaping digital technology products by 2025 voiced at the World Economic Forum. He also mentioned various impacts of the 4.0 industrial revolution on social, economic, cultural, environmental fields, security and defense. He also considered that the 4.0 industrial revolution can increase immigration flows and impact on governments and people.
Additionally, he pointed out non-traditional security challenges that consists of 4 problems, 10 threats and 28 global risks, as well as challenges for high-quality human resources training and impacts of the 4.0 revolution on the press and media.
