Nam Dinh police asked to improve efficiency of emulation movements

MPS - Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Thanh, Member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Minister of Public Security, on July 8 attended a meeting hosted by the Nam Dinh Provincial Police Department to review outcomes of the emulation movement "For Homeland Security" and the movement "All people protect the national security" in the 2015-2020 period.

Over the past five years, the Nam Dinh police forces have actively participated in and promoted the emulation movement "For Homeland Security" and the movement "All people protect the national security".

Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh awards Certificates of Merit from the Ministry of Public Security to the teams and individuals with outstanding achievements.

They creatively realized the guidelines and directions from the Party, the State, the Ministry of Public Security and the Nam Dinh Provincial Party Committee and People's Committee.

Regarding the movement "All people protect the homeland security", the local police have coordinated with the local authorities and organizations to develop and deploy new security protection models, including the model "Self-management, self-reliance, self-protection" at 226 communes, wards and townships across the province, the model "Cultural school with good students, without narcotics and violence" at 822 local educational institutions, as well as other security models at  562 local Buddhist establishments.

At the meeting, 59 teams and 108 people with outstanding achievements in the period of 2015 - 2020 were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Ministry of Public Security, the Nam Dinh Provincial People's Committee, and the Nam Dinh Provincial Police Department.

In order to further spread the emulation movements in the coming time, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh asked the Nam Dinh Provincial Police Department to promptly praise and popularize good examples, good deeds, new models, and effective practices in the emulation movements while encouraging good examples to share their experience and promote their roles at their agencies and units.

The provincial police department should regularly check and review the implementation of emulation movements at their sub-units in order to swiftly draw lessons and promote efficiency of the movements, contributing to ensuring local security and social order as well as promoting socio-economic development.
