People's Police College 1 opens new school year 2019 - 2020

MPS - The People's Police College 1 (PPC1) on October 31 held a ceremony in Hanoi to open its 2019 – 2020 school year. Senior Lieutenant General Bui Van Nam (Assoc. Prof. Dr.), Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of Public Security attended and delivered a speech.

The PPC1 successfully completed its assigned tasks in the previous school year. The school held various training courses and refresher courses on political knowledge and professional expertise for different kinds of police officers. Particularly, the school, in collaboration with the local police units, organized 09 training courses for professional police officers deployed to communal police posts following the guidelines of the Ministry of Public Security.

The school also renovated methods of testing and assessing its students, applied information technology in teaching and organized feedbacks on its education and training programs from its students and teachers with the aim of improving the quality of its education and training. In the 2018-2019 school year, 56 groups and 1,900 students of the school were honored for their outstanding achievements by authorities of all levels. Especially, two groups of the school received the Emulation Flag from the Ministry of Public Security.

Speaking at the ceremony, on behalf of the Public Security Central Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security, Deputy Minister Bui Van Nam highly appreciated the effort and congratulated the achievements obtained by the PPC1’sofficers, teachers, employees and students in the previous school year.

Deputy Minister Bui Van Nam urged the school to successfully implement the 2019-2020 education and training plan and strive for a clean and comprehensive strong educational institution. The Deputy Minister asked the University to further apply modern technology to teaching activities and education management, promote the movement “Good teaching, Good learning”, proactively conduct scientific research on issues directly affecting national security and order in Vietnam, renovate teaching methods, programs, so as to raise the quality of training and education.

The Deputy Minister also encouraged students to get better outcomes in their training and study at the school so as to become qualified police officers to better serve the people and the country in the future.
