In spite of the complicated development of the Covid-19 epidemic, the PPU enrolled more than 3,000 students in three courses as planned, taught more than 16,000 students, and conducted over 130,000 teaching standards-based hours in the last academic year. The school had various initiatives and approaches to renovate and improve the effectiveness of teaching and learning, and scientific research. The school also paid attention to organizing scientific seminars to seek solutions to unsolved issues in both police professional theory and practice during the school year.
For their outstanding achievements in the 2019-2020 school year, two teams and three individuals of the PPU were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Ministry of Public Security while other 12 units won the title of “Determined to win” and many individuals were praised with various honors and awards.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, on behalf of the Public Security Central Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh praised the achievements made by the leadership, teachers and students of the PPU over the past time.
The Deputy Minister agreed with the working orientations of the PPU for the new school year and suggested that the school should continue to build a strong and clean Party organization while the school’s leaders should heighten their sense of responsibility for developing the school.
He also requested that the PPU to improve the quality of scientific research in couple with encouraging students to have creative thinking and apply their learned knowledge into practices so that they can meet the requirements for their assignments after graduation.
* On this occasion, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh, the Directorate, teachers, and students of the PPU donated money to support people in the Central region who are suffering from consequences of recent floods and storms.
