PM asks police forces to ensure traffic order and safety during holiday

April, 11 2019
MPS - Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has recently issued Official Dispatch No.402/CD-TTg on ensuring sufficient human transportation service as well as traffic safety and order during the upcoming holiday of April 30 and May 1.
The Prime Minister asked relevant ministries and agencies to well implement the dispatch in accordance with their functions and authority.

Accordingly, the Ministry of Public Security instructs police units at all levels to enhance patrols and strictly handle violations of traffic safety, especially those likely causing traffic congestions and accidents on roads, railways and inland waterways such as violations of speed limits and blood alcohol concentration, using narcotics when driving, and wrong lane or wrong direction driving. The police should also prevent illegal motor racing, public order disturbances and other railway and waterway safety violations, while strictly punishing drivers without driving licenses, and unregistered and overloaded vehicles.

The police should coordinate with the transportation sector to draw up plans on ensuring traffic order and mobilize forces to promptly handle traffic accidents and jams on the main routes to Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, national highways, major traffic intersections, tourist and amusement areas, bus and railway stations, BOT stations and construction projects, thus effectively ensuring public safety and order as well as smooth traffic.
