Police warn people against new kind of cyber fraud

According to Lieutenant Colonel Vu Anh Diep, Deputy Head of the National Office for Traffic Education and Accident Investigation under the Traffic Police Department, the traffic police force has not sent emails to citizens to inform them of their violations.

Instead, they update traffic safety violations recorded by the national closed-circuit television system on the official website of the Traffic Police Department ( All people can visit the website and see if they have committed a traffic offence, and which police unit is responsible for handling the violation.

The Lang Son police are expanding investigation into the case.

Citizens should stay alert to this new kind of cyber fraud. The police also advise people not to provide your personal or banking account information via emails to any people and report the case to the police.
