The event saw the presence of General To Lam, Member of the Politburo, Minister of Public Security, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Thanh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of Public Security, and Lieutenant General Luong Tam Quang, Deputy Minister of Public Security.
Speaking on behalf of the Party and the State, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc praised the efforts and achievements of the guard police forces over the past time.
On the occasion of the 2020 Tet, the Prime Minister wished leaders, officers and soldiers of the People's Public Security Forces in general and of the Guard Police High Command in particular and their families good health, happiness and prosperity.
Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc requested the guard police force to maintain absolute safety for festive activities during this Tet as well as important events in the ASEAN Vietnam Year and the Party congresses at all levels in the coming time.
The Prime Minister also urged the Guard Police High Command to promote training of legal knowledge and foreign languages as well as professional competence for guard police officers and soldiers.
On behalf of the Public Security Central Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security, Minister To Lam thanked the leadership of the Party, the State, and particularly the Prime Minister for the great care and support for the People's Public Security Forces in recent years. He vowed to direct the forces to strictly follow the directions of Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and successfully fulfill their assigned tasks in the next year.
