Following the directions of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union’s Central Committee and the leadership of the Ministry of Public Security, the PSYU Standing Committee drew up a plan to implement the Youth Month in March 2021 with the theme “Pride of traditions of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union".

According to the plan, the PSYU encouraged its members to actively take preventive measures against the Covid-19 pandemic in their units while being ready to join pandemic prevention and control missions upon request. Youths of the Public Security Forces were urged to participate in administrative reforms, building new-style rural areas, promoting an urban civilized life, and particularly organizing "Volunteer Saturday" and "Green Sunday" campaigns.

Speaking at the ceremony, Senior Colonel Ngo Hoai Thu, Deputy Director of the Party and Political Work Department under the Ministry of Public Security suggested that the PSYU chapters at all levels should closely follow the directions of their Party committees and leaders to effectively realize the Youth Month plan. Additionally, all youth organizations in the Public Security Forces should make efforts to plant 11,000 new trees in 2021 following the direction of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union’s Central Committee.

After the ceremony, the PSYU organized a tree-planting festival and opened a garden in dedication to President Ho Chi Minh. They also visited and offered gifts to the Communal Police Station, needy policemen and policy beneficiary families in Dai Yen commune, Chuong My district, Hanoi city.
