1,800 trees planted by young police officers in Quang Ngai

MPS - The Youth Union chapter under the Quang Ngai Provincial Police Department on March 1 organized the “Green Sunday” program, planting 1,800 acacia trees in Nghia Thang commune, Tu Nghia district.
Major Nguyen Thi Thuan, Secretary of the Youth Union chapter under the Quang Ngai Provincial Police Department said that the 2020 “Green Sunday” program was launched to raise young policemen’s sense of responsibility for environmental protection and climate change adaptability as well as to promote youth’s voluntary spirit in the community.
The Youth Union chapter of the Quang Ngai Provincial Police Department mobilized 30 young public security officers to plant 1,800 acacia trees on an area of 600m2 in Nghia Thang commune, Tu Nghia district.
Tree-planting is an annual activity of the local police officers and soldiers that promotes the youth’s volunteer spirit in protecting a green, clean and beautiful environment, contributing to local socio-economic development.
