An Giang police deploy many security protection models

MPS - Within the framework of his working visit to An Giang province, Major General Le Tan Toi, Deputy Minister of Public Security, attended a ceremony on September 9 hosted by the An Giang Provincial Police Department to launch security models and projects on ensuring security and social order in the province.

At the meeting, the An Giang provincial police launched the Security Information Management System project, which aims to create favorable conditions for people to report information related to the public order and security situation in the locality to the police.

Meanwhile, the local police launched the "Security key chain" project, in which the An Giang Provincial Police Department and the Long Xuyen City Police Station print their hotline numbers on key chains and give them to local people. Thanks to the police phone numbers on the key chains, local people can quickly report public order and security cases in the area to the police for further investigation and handling. The provincial police have invested VND 100 million in total in the project and have so far offered 33,334 keychains to organizations and people in ​​Long Xuyen city.

Additionally, the project "First Aid for Traffic Victims" was launched to help promptly take victims of traffic accidents in the ​​Long Xuyen city to local hospitals. At the launching ceremony, the An Giang provincial police presented one ambulance, worth VND 755 million, to the police of Long Xuyen city and offered VND 100 million to the An Giang Central General Hospital as funds for emergency treatment of traffic victims when their families have not yet come to pay for the expenses.

On this occasion, the An Giang provincial police also announced a decision to build “gratitude houses” for three retired police officers with housing difficulties.

After the launching ceremony of the security protection projects, Deputy Minister Le Tan Toi and other delegates witnessed the signing of an interdisciplinary plan among the An Giang provincial police forces, military units, border guard force, customs sector, market management sector and other functional forces. According to the plan, the forces will strengthen coordination in the fight against trans-border smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods in border districts, towns, and cities of An Giang province.

Speaking at the ceremony, on behalf of the Public Security Central Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security, Deputy Minister Le Tan Toi spoke highly of approaches taken by the An Giang Provincial Police Department in fighting crimes and protecting security. He also affirmed that the social activities conducted by the provincial police will contribute to tightening the relationship between the police forces and the people.
