HCMC Police Women’s Union chapter supports needy ethnic families and children

MPS - The Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) Police Women’s Union chapter recently organized a charity program in the 2 provinces of Dak Lak and Gia Lai with the aim of helping needy ethnic children with a spring of joy.

At Buon Tu, Ea Tul commune, Cu M'gar district, Dak Lak province, the police women presented 100 gifts (each package worth 500,000VND), including helmets, notebooks, new clothes, milk, cereals, cakes and lucky money to underprivileged local children.

At Ia Mo, Chu Prong district, Gia Lai province, the charity group presented gifts to needy families, women and children, and a house of compassion worth 70 million VND to Ms. Ro Chau Dim - a Jrai women in Klah village. They also offered 06 cow breeds for 06 families, 15 scholarships (each worth 1 million VND) and 10 bikes to needy children with good school records, 200 packs of Tet gifts including blankets, rice, noodles, milk, cereals, sausages, spices and lucky money of 200,000VND to 200 poor women.

This humane program of the HCMC Police Women’s Union chapter was in response to the program "Support for women at border" launched by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union. To provide more supports for needy women living in border areas, women of the HCMC Municipal Police Department had voluntarily contributed and mobilized benefactors to donate nearly VND 400 million to the program.
