All people living in 8 villages of the commune are of the H’Mong ethnic minority. They earn their living mainly by cultivating agricultural crops so they still have various difficulties in life due to unfavorable transportation.
Doctors of the Provincial Police Department’s infirmary visited and offered free health check-ups and medicines to 400 local people in Nam Chay.
Additionally, the voluntary team also presented 9 televisions, 2 water filters and other necessities to students of the local boarding school as well as 388 blankets and instant noodles to poor households in the locality, and some gifts to communal police officers.
Earlier, the voluntary team joined hands with locals in building a 300 square-meter concrete yard in Kham Tren village, and issued ID cards to 300 locals.
