MPS - The People's Police Academy, in coordination with Hospital 198 under the Ministry of Public Security, Viet Duc Friendship Hospital, and the National Hospital of Hematology and Blood Transfusion, organized the voluntary blood donation drive “Red Sunday” on June 26.

Since the COVID-19 pandemic broke out again in May 2021 in many localities, medical facilities nationwide saw a serious shortage of blood for treatment of patients in need.

Staff and cadets of the academy donate their blood.

With the spirit of "bravery, humanity, and devotion to the people" of the People's Public Security Forces, more than 3,000 cadets and staff of the People’s Police Academy participated in the blood donation event.

After the donation drive, more than 2,000 blood units were collected and transferred to the national blood bank.

Major General, Prof. Dr. Tran Minh Huong, Director of the People's Police Academy encourages officers and students participating in the blood donation drive.

The meaningful activity of the People's Police Academy contributed to preventing and controlling the COVID-19 pandemic as well as to treating patients at hospitals.

Earlier in January 2021, the academy also organized a voluntary blood donation drive and collected nearly 2,000 blood units.
