People's Public Security Forces planned to donate thousands of blood units

MPS - In response to General Secretary and State President Nguyen Phu Trong’s call "All people voluntarily donate blood" and the letter from General To Lam, Minister of Public Security urging People's Public Security Forces to actively participate in humanitarian blood donation, on April 8, public security officers and soldiers across the country voluntarily donated nearly 2,000 units of blood.

At the launching ceremony of the voluntary blood donation campaign organized by the Ministry of Public Security on April 8, officers and soldiers from various units, including the Ministerial Office, the Traffic Police Department and the Professional Technique Department under the Ministry of Public Security, donated nearly 200 units of blood.

Major General Nguyen Duy Ngoc, Deputy Minister of Public Security, donates his blood in the blood donation program held by the Ministry of Public Security.

Major General Nguyen Hai Trung, Director of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Police Department, and nearly 300 Thanh Hoa police officers and soldiers donated about 300 blood units.


On the same day, policemen in provinces and municipalities such as Ho Chi Minh City, Quang Binh, Dak Lak, Thanh Hoa organized blood donation drives and donated more than 1,200 blood units in total.

Nearly 350 officers and soldiers of the Ho Chi Minh city police participated in blood donation.


All voluntary blood donation drives were organized in accordance to the "social distancing" regulation articulated in the Prime Minister's Directive 16.

350 police officers and soldiers of the Dak Lak provincial police forces voluntarily donated more than 120 blood units.


The humane and timely donation of blood from the People’s Public Security Forces will contribute to easing the blood shortage amid the COVID-19 epidemic.
