The program was also participated in by the Institute of Military History under the Ministry of Defense, the Yen Bai Provincial Police Youth Union and other donors.
In the 2020 – 2021 school year, the school has 21 classes with 734 students, of which 573 are semi-boarding students. Most of the students at the school are from policy beneficiary families living in the 12 villages of the poor commune of Nam Co. The school faced a shortage of facilities and teaching equipment.
Recognizing the school’s situation, the Youth Union chapter of the Public Security Department of Science, Strategy and History launched the Winter Volunteer Plan for 2020 and the project "Youths of the People's Public Security Forces support needy children to go to school", in which they called donors to fund the construction of a "Friendly Library" for students of the Vu A Dinh semi-boarding school.
Additionally, representatives of the Women's Union chapter of the department presented 21 packages of gifts, including blankets and sweaters, to poor students at the school.
The project "Friendly Library" aims at rending supports for the students and encouraging them to achieve success in their study and lives.
