Public Security Trade Union presents Tet gifts to needy workers

MPS - Within the framework of the program “Tet (Lunar New Year) of Reunion – Celebrating the Spring and the Party" held at the People's Police Academy, the Executive Committee of the Public Security Trade Union (PSTU) hosted a meeting on January 17 to present gifts to poor Trade Union members and workers on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2021.

The meeting was attended by Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Thanh, Member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Minister of Public Security, Mr. Tran Van Thuat, Vice Chairman of Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, and representatives from various units under the Ministry of Public Security and the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.

At the event, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh and other delegates awarded 250 Tet gifts to workers representing more than 1000 needy members of the PSTU.

Mr. Tran Van Thuat gives gifts to the poor workers.

Speaking at the meeting, on behalf of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Mr. Tran Van Thuat praised the PSTU and its chapters for taking good care of needy workers on the occasion of the upcoming Tet festival.

He also asked relevant agencies, enterprises, and donors to support the PSTU and the Vietnam’s Trade Union in order to render support to employees in difficult states.

* The program “Tet of Reunion – Celebrating the Spring and the Party" was held in two days of January 16 - 17 at the People's Police Academy with many activities, such as culinary and spring market, cooking contest, arts performance, folk games, etc.
