Thu Duc city’s police play important role in fighting COVID-19, supporting local people

MPS - Over the past time, police officers of Thu Duc city in Ho Chi Minh City have followed President Ho Chi Minh’s thoughts, morals and lifestyle as well as his six teachings to the Public Security Forces while performing their tasks of maintaining social order and safety in the locality.

Regarding the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, the Thu Duc city’s police have played a key role in combating the disease. 

Police officers of Thu Duc City Police Station perform their tasks of ensuring security and combating the COVID-19 epidemic.

Since June 2021, the city has established 130 pandemic control checkpoints. The city’s police force also set up 15 patrol teams to promptly detect and handle violations of anti-pandemic regulations on key routes and areas. 

Additionally, 855 policemen were sent to the grassroots-level police posts to maintain security, order and safety at field hospitals and concentrated quarantine zones across the city. 

The Thu Duc city’s police hold a ceremony to give gifts to needy locals and medical supplies to Le Van Viet Hospital located in the city.

Additionally, the city’s police force actively took care of needy people in the locality.

Particularly, they presented 6,500 gifts to poor people while launching a charity program to offer 50,000 packages of necessities to households affected by the COVID-19 epidemic and mobilize landlords and landladies to reduce rentals for nearly 118,000 unemployed workers in the city.

The police also gave 4,200 gifts and lanterns to disadvantaged children during the Mid-Autumn Festival. They also donated food and medical supplies to medical workers at field hospitals and people under at-home quarantine.
