Youths of MPS’s Office launch environmental protection movement

MPS - In celebration of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union's 89th founding anniversary (March 26, 1931 - March 26, 2020), the Youth Union Chapter of the Ministerial Office under the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) on March 2 held a program to disseminate information about environmental protection and plastic waste reduction.

The event saw the presence of Major General Hoang Anh Tuyen and Senior Colonel Vu Huu Tai, Deputy Chiefs of MPS’s Ministerial Office among leaders of the Office’s sub-units.

Major General Hoang Anh Tuyen and Senior Colonel Vu Huu Tai signed a commitment document on environmental protection and plastic waste reduction.

 

At the meeting, delegates and Youth Union’s members listened to representatives of the Executive Committee of the Office’s Youth Union Chapter talking about measures to protect the environment, reduce plastic waste and build civilized urban lifestyles.

The Youth Union Chapter of the Office also offered reusable cloth bags and glass bottles to members of the Women's Union Chapter of the MPS’s Ministerial Office on the occasion of the 110th anniversary of International Women's Day (March 3, 1910 - March 8, 2020).

After that, youths of the Office joined hands in collecting plastic garbage and cleaning up the surroundings of the MPS’s headquarters.

This practical activity reflected the pioneer spirit of the Youth Union members of the MPS’s Ministerial Office in environmental protection and anti-plastic movements, contributing to building a green, clean and beautiful world.
