The program aimed at enhancing local social security and tightening the relations of the youths of the Quang Nam Provincial Police and Border Guard forces with the locals in the border areas.
The delegation offered free health check-ups and medicines for more than 300 poor people and preferential policy beneficiaries. Doctors and nurses of the delegation also provided knowledge of preventing and treating some common diseases, especially dermatological diseases, for the locals.
Within the framework of the program, the delegation presented more than 50 packs of gifts to reputable people in ethnic minorities, policy beneficiary families and needy households in the commune; offered 50 packs of gifts, including school bags, notebooks and learning tools, to poor but studious students. In addition, the delegation also offered free haircuts to local people as well as handed over picture books and nutritious meals to children. The whole program cost over VND 80 million in total.
The Youth Union of Quang Nam Provincial Police Department also cooperated with the Quang Nam Border Guard unit to organize the flag-raising ceremony at border marker No.717 in the border area across Dak Chung district, Se Kong province of Lao PDR with the aims of educating members of the Youth Union on the revolutionary and solidarity traditions, and strengthening the military-civil relationship, thus contributing to effectively implementing the campaign "The People's Public Security Forces strictly obey the regulations, build cultural lifestyles, and wholeheartedly serve the people" and "Young people live beautifully and productively" among young officers and soldiers.
