According to statistics, Vietnam now has over 80 BOT traffic projects in operation on highways. BOT traffic projects are a necessary and right policy contributing to socio-economic development of the country.
In recent months, drivers started to use small-value notes to pay for fares at several BOT traffic stations, causing serious congestions on highways triggering security and order issues there.
Against this backdrop, police units in the localities gave recommendations and advice to local authorities to promote dissemination of traffic policies and regulations to people, especially transport business owners.
The police forces also actively took various measures and deployed forces to ensure security at BOT traffic stations.
Vice Minister Son spoke highly of the efforts by the involved police units in the past time. He also urged the whole police force to continue their plans to ensure security and order in the coming time, especially during the 2018 traditional lunar New Year festival (Tet).
