The event also saw the presence of Lieutenant General Luong Tam Quang, Deputy Minister of Public Security, Major General To An Xo, Chief of the MPS’s Office, representatives of press and media management agencies inside and outside the People's Public Security Forces, including Nhan Dan newspaper; Vietnam Television, the Voice of Vietnam, People's Army Newspaper, Government Portal, Ministry of National Defense Portal, Dai Doan Ket Newspaper, VnExpress, Vietnamnet, among others.
Speaking at the workshop, Major General Tran Duc Tuan stated that, in recent years, the MPS’s Office acted as the coordinator the Ministry of Public Security and other ministries, departments, agencies, mass organizations, local authorities and press agencies.
In the field of information dissemination, the office and the press agencies have closely coordinated to vividly reflect the practical operation of the Public Security Forces, encourage people to effectively implement policies of the Party, National Assembly and Government, realize socio-economic development objectives, and participate in ensuring national defense, public security and international integration.
At the workshop, delegates also discussed issues mostly concerned by the press and society as well as the coordination in disseminating police work. They also recommended solutions to improve the effectiveness of dissemination of information about police work, contributing to maintaining social safety and order and holding back social evils.
Speaking at the workshop, Deputy Minister Luong Tam Quang thanked the press management units and news agencies for their great support for the Ministry of Public Security in ensuring political security and fulfilling their tasks over the past years. He also wished to receive further support and coordination from press agencies in the coming time.
