Building revolutionary, regular, elite and modern People’s Police Force

General Secretary and State President To Lam attended and delivered a keynote address.

Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Central Public Security Party Committee and Minister of Public Security General Luong Tam Quang chaired the event.

The gathering was attended by incumbent and former leaders of the Party and State; leaders and former leaders of the Ministry of Public Security; former leaders of the General Department of Police; police officers honored with the title “Hero of the People’s Armed Forces”; as well as high-ranking police officers and senior police veterans in different periods.

Speaking at the meeting on behalf of the Party and State leadership, General Secretary and State President To Lam warmly congratulated and highly commended the outstanding achievements and immense contributions of the People’s Police Force in ensuring security and order, and maintaining peaceful and happy lives for the people.

To fulfill its heavy responsibilities in the new revolutionary phase, the General Secretary and State President requested that the People’s Police Force focus on building a disciplined, safe, healthy, civilized, harmonious, and developing society. He called for continued efforts to build a revolutionary, regular, elite, and modern People’s Police Force, preserving its pure character, tightening discipline and order, and promoting dedication, resourcefulness, creativity, and combat readiness while being prepared to make sacrifices for the peace and happiness of the people.

On behalf of the Public Security Central Party Committee, the Ministry of Public Security, and the People’s Police Force, Minister Luong Tam Quang expressed profound gratitude for the attention shown by the Party, the State, and General Secretary and State President To Lam personally toward the cause of building the People’s Police Force.

Fully absorbing the profound guidance of the General Secretary and State President, the Central Public Security Party Committee, the Ministry of Public Security, and the People’s Police Force pledged to devote their utmost dedication and determination to effectively implementing all assigned tasks.

Minister Luong Tam Quang emphasized that the People’s Police Force will continue to promote its core role, contributing to building a modern social governance system. The Force will strongly shift from social management to social governance and enablement, taking data as the foundation, digital technology as the tool, and the people as the center.

At the same time, efforts will center on building a revolutionary, regular, elite, and modern People’s Police Force that is "the most disciplined, most loyal, and closest to the people," meeting the demands and tasks of the new situation.
