General Secretary and State President To Lam visited the Professional Techinical Center, a unit under the Department of Technical Services of the Ministry of Public Security, on the morning of July 6, in Hanoi.

Accompanying the General Secretary and State President were Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Party Central Committee and Head of the Central Commission for Organisation Nguyen Duy Ngoc; Member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Prime Minister Le Tien Chau; and Member of the Party Central Committee and Chief of the Office of the Party Central Committee Nguyen Hai Ninh.

Representing the Ministry of Public Security were Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Public Security Central Party Committee and Minister of Public Security General Luong Tam Quang, and Member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Minister of Public Security Senior Lieutenant General Pham The Tung.

At the meeting, Director of the Department of Technical Services Lieutenant General Tran Viet Kieu briefed General Secretary and State President To Lam on the Professional Technical Force's task implementation in recent times.

On behalf of the Party and State leadership, General Secretary and State President To Lam acknowledged and commended the Professional Technical Force for its achievements and victories throughout 72 years of its construction, combat, victory, and growth.

General Secretary and State President To Lam emphasized that the Professional Technical Force has recently adopted new responsibilities in line with a spirit of more innovation, modernization and comprehensiveness. It has not only actively and effectively participated in specialized operational cases and criminal investigations, but also proactively coordinated with relevant force to safeguard national sovereignty, aerospace sovereignty, and territorial borders through technical measures, while effectively serving the socio-economic development of the country.

Highlighting that the regional and international situations see very rapid changes with numerous opportunities, challenges and risks, the General Secretary and State President stressed the need to highly concentrate resources and deploy modern, deep and robust investments for the Professional Technical Force, ensuring that it has sufficient capacity for proactive prevention and effective responses under all circumstances.

According to the General Secretary and State President, the force should coordinate closely with other forces to actively deploy strategic security postures. It should also take firm steps in applying AI and big data to enhance the efficiency of detecting and handling crimes, law violations, and threats to social order and safety.

The General Secretary and State President noted that the force should focus on building a Professional Technical Force with leading experts in the fields of science and technology, and being the most disciplined, the most loyal and closest to the people,.

The General Secretary and State President expressed his firm confidence that, with a sense of responsibility, bold thinking, decisive action and a spirit of breakthrough and creativity for the common good, the entire People's Public Security Forces in general, and the Professional Technical Force in particular, will excellently fulfill the duties entrusted to them by the Party, State, and People.
