Deputy Minister of Public Security Senior Lieutenant General Pham The Tung, Head of the Security and Order Subcommittee, chaired the meeting.
In his opening remarks, Deputy Minister Pham The Tung underscored that the 14th National Party Congress is a major national political event scheduled to take place over seven days, from January 19 to 25, 2026. He emphasized that ensuring security and order for the congress is of critical importance, contributing to ensuring a success in organizing the event, but also fostering a vibrant nationwide emulation movement across the Party, the people and the armed forces, thereby creating momentum for national construction and defense in a new era—the era of the nation’s rise.
At the meeting, the Standing Agency of the Security and Order Subcommittee presented a summary report outlining key results of the implementation of the plan achieved to date, along with proposed orientations and priority tasks for the entire Public Security Forces in the coming period.
Under the chairmanship of Deputy Minister Pham The Tung, delegates comprehensively discussed the overall security situation, outcomes, difficulties and challenges in deploying security arrangements for the congress, while identifying central tasks to be implemented from now until the conclusion of the event.
Concluding the meeting, on behalf of the Public Security Central Party Committee and the leadership of the Ministry of Public Security, Deputy Minister Pham The Tung acknowledged and commended the relevant public security units and agencies nationwide for their efforts over the past period.
He stressed that, as the time remaining is short and there is a heavy workload ahead, provincial-level police bear primary responsibility for ensuring security and order in their respective localities. Accordingly, they were urged to urgently review, tand implement detailed security plans, while proactively detecting and promptly addressing any potential security threats from an early stage.
Deputy Minister Pham The Tung also called on the Party Central Office, the Commission for Communications, Education and Mass Mobilization, the Ministry of National Defense, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and the People’s Committee of Hanoi to closely and effectively coordinate with the Ministry of Public Security, creating a truly secure and safe environment and contributing to the successful organization of the 14th National Party Congress.
