Ministry of Public Security conducts survey on establishment of People's Public Security General Education School

Deputy Director of the Vinh Long Provincial Police Department Senior Colonel Son Chi Hung led a delegation of local police to work with Major General Nguyen Hong Nguyen, representatives of relevant units under the Ministry of Public Security, and representatives from local authorities.

Prior to the working session, the delegation conducted an on-site survey of the premises and existing facilities at the headquarters of the former Ben Tre Provincial Police Department (before the administrative merger), which is being considered as the proposed location for the school. 

During the survey, the delegation assessed the condition of existing infrastructure and facilities as a basis for considering and proposing appropriate investment, allocation, and renovation plans to meet the school's operational requirements.

Speaking at the working session, Deputy Director of the Vinh Long Provincial Police Department Senior Colonel Son Chi Hung called on relevant units to continue reviewing educational needs and the number of prospective students, promptly advise on approaches to finalize the project proposal for establishing the school, and proactively develop plans for recruitment of the teaching staff, infrastructure, and equipment suitable for an educational environment.

He wished that units under the Ministry of Public Security would continue paying attention and support to the project while provincial agencies and grassroots authorities would create favorable conditions for the local police to implement the project as scheduled. He affirmed that the Vinh Long Provincial Police Force would strictly implement the project in accordance with the approved policy, meet all the requirements, and complete the project before the deadline.

In his concluding remarks, Major General Nguyen Hong Nguyen, Deputy Chief of the Ministry's Office and Deputy Head of the Steering Committee for the Project on the Establishment of People's Public Security General Education Schools, emphasized that establishing such a school is a meaningful initiative in terms of social welfare, helping provide educational and personal development opportunities for children from disadvantaged backgrounds and vulnerable children.

He requested relevant professional units to coordinate closely with the Vinh Long Provincial Police Department to promptly finalize the project proposal, continue surveying and reviewing the number of disadvantaged children, with particular attention to children from the Khmer ethnic minority community and other disadvantaged groups, and prepare the necessary facilities to ensure the project remains on schedule.

Major General Nguyen Hong Nguyen also urged Vinh Long Provincial Police to fully incorporate the delegation's recommendations and strengthen coordination with the education sector, relevant provincial agencies, and grassroots authorities during the implementation process. 

He further requested that functional units under the Ministry of Public Security continue providing guidance and support to promptly complete the necessary conditions and procedures, thereby facilitating the establishment of the People's Public Security General Education School in Vinh Long Province.
