
MPS Hospital of Traditional Medicine requested to become leading traditional medicine center
Member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Minister of Public Security Lieutenant General Dang Hong Duc chaired a working session with the Hospital of Traditional Medicine under the Ministry of Public Security (MPS), on March 17 in Hanoi.

Over the past time, the hospital has taken comprehensive measures to improve its management, organizational structure, professional expertise and infrastructure and the quality of its medical services, gradually building itself as a leading traditional medicine center within the Public Security Forces.
It well perform its main mission of providing health examination and treatment as well as other assigned tasks on request. The hospital also effectively combined traditional medicine with rehabilitation and physiotherapy to enhance its treatment capacity and meet an increasing need of patients for health examination and treatment.
The hospital also established a stroke treatment unit under its intensive care department, which has so far provided emergency care for and treated 471 stroke patients. It is currently planning to expand the treatment area to better meet the need for the treatment of an increasing number of in-patients.
In addition, the hospital strengthened the training and development of high-quality human resources, promoted scientific research, international cooperation and digital transformation, while paying close attention to pharmaceutical work and medicine production.
It also ensured the supply, management, maintenance and repair of medical equipment, ready for healthcare.
Speaking at the session, Deputy Minister Dang Hong Duc acknowledged and commended the hospital’s efforts and achievements.
To realize the goal of developing the hospital as a leading traditional medicine center, the Deputy Minister requested the hospital to adopt breakthrough and effective solutions, bring into full play its strengths and promote healthcare economic development.
He also stressed the need to strengthen the building and promotion of its brand, improve the quality of health services for public security personnel and civilians, and effectively combine traditional medicine with rehabilitation and physiotherapy.
According to the Deputy Minister, the hospital should develop strategies to attract highly qualified doctors and medical professionals, and proactively expand cooperation with domestic and international partners in the field of traditional medicine.
