This was an important diplomatic activity held by the MPS to express appreciation for the valuable contributions, support and assistance of foreign partners and international friends to the MPS of Vietnam over the past time.
It also aimed to further promote cooperation and mutual understanding between the Vietnamese Public Security Forces and foreign law enforcement agencies, diplomatic missions and international organizations in Vietnam, contributing effectively to safeguarding national security and ensuring social order and safety, as well as effectively realizing Vietnam’s independent and self-reliant foreign policy.
Speaking at the meeting, Minister Luong Tam Quang emphasized the significance of international cooperation in the context of increasingly complex and volatile security developments in the region and the world, saying that it is an urgent need to build a peaceful and stable environment for all countries to develop.
To promote cooperation between the Vietnamese side and foreign partners in 2026 and the years ahead, the Minister stated that the MPS of Vietnam would closely coordinate with law enforcement agencies of other countries to promote information exchange and jointly resolve difficulties and obstacles on the basis of respect for international law, the Charter of the United Nations and international treaties to which Vietnam is party, thereby bringing security cooperation in a substantive, deep and effective manner.
According to him, the MPS of Vietnam will actively contribute to international efforts to prevent and combat transnational crimes, terrorism, money laundering, hi-tech crimes, human trafficking and other non-traditional security threats, and particularly to coordinate in the implementation of the United Nations Convention against Cybercrime, which was recently signed in Vietnam.
On behalf of the Foreign Diplomatic Corps in Vietnam, Ambassador of the State of Palestine Saadi Salama extended his congratulations to the Communist Party of Vietnam on the successful organization of the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
