MPS Office seeks to better serve as strategic advisor to leadership

The Office of the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) held a meeting to review its performance as a strategic advisor to the MPS leadership in 2025 and roll out key tasks for 2026, on the morning of December 30 in Hanoi.

In 2025, the MPS Office successfully fulfilled its position as a strategic advisor to the Public Security Central Party Committee and the MPS leadership, as well as proactively advised the Party and State on policies regarding national security and public order and approaches to implement key guidelines on safeguarding national security, maintaining social order and safety and building the Public Security Forces, and effectively supporting the country’s socio-economic development.

In addition, the MPS Office effectively performed its function as a coordinator, assisting the MPS leadership in directing public security units and agencies to ensure security and order for major national events and international conferences held in Vietnam, contributing to enhancing the country’s prestige and standing on the international stage.

Addressing the meeting, on behalf of the Public Security Central Party Committee and the MPS leadership, Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To acknowledged and commended the MPS Office on its achievements and outstanding performance in 2025.

For 2026, Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To requested the MPS Office to continue renovating its thinking on leadership and coordination, arrange work in a more scientific and effective manner and achieve more fruitful outcomes in the coming year.

He also stressed the need to proactively address shortcomings, flexibly respond to arising situations and augment its ability to forecast and evaluate situations.

Emphasizing the unit’s core function as a strategic advisory body, the Deputy Minister said, it needs to always be proactive and forward-thinking in providing timely accurate advice to the MPS leadership on all professional tasks of the Public Security Forces.

Major General Nguyen Quoc Toan pledged that the MPS Office had fully grasped the Deputy Minister’s instructions, and urged subordinate units to embark on key tasks for 2026.
