
MPS presents documentary film on President Ho Chi Minh to central agencies
On the occasion of the 136th birth anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890 – 2026), the Ministry of Public Security held a ceremony to present a documentary film on President Ho Chi Minh’s 1955 visit to Sverdlovsk province of the former Soviet Union to the Office of the Party Central Committee, Vietnam Television and the Ho Chi Minh Museum, on May 19 in Hanoi.

Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Public Security Central Party Committee and Minister of Public Security General Luong Tam Quang chaired the ceremony.
The ceremony saw the presence of Member of the Party Central Committee and Chief of the Office of the Party Central Committee Nguyen Hai Ninh; Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Commission for Communications, Education and Mass Mobilization and General Director of Vietnam Television Nguyen Thanh Lam; and Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh Museum Pham Thi Thanh Mai.
Addressing the ceremony, Minister Luong Tam Quang emphasized that over the past time, the Public Security Central Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security had consistently directed units throughout the Public Security Forces to collect materials related to the lives and revolutionary careers of President Ho Chi Minh and senior leaders of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
During the collection process, the Public Security Forces, with support from domestic and international connections, obtained many valuable documents, including the documentary film on President Ho Chi Minh’s visit to Sverdlovsk province in 1955.
The Minister described it as an extremely precious historical documentation preserved by individuals and organizations for 71 years since President Ho Chi Minh’s visit to the Soviet Union.
Minister Luong Tam Quang expressed confidence that, following the handover ceremony, the Office of the Party Central Committee, Vietnam Television and the Ho Chi Minh Museum would widely introduce this valuable documentary footage, thereby further spreading President Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, morality and lifestyle to people both at home and abroad.
At the ceremony, Chief of the Office of the Party Central Committee Nguyen Hai Ninh, General Director of Vietnam Television Nguyen Thanh Lam and Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh Museum Pham Thi Thanh Mai all expressed their emotion after viewing the documentary footage, and emphasized its great historical significance.
Expressing sincere appreciation to the Public Security Central Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security for the valuable documentary film, the representatives affirmed that they would preserve and archive the footage carefully while promoting it widely to the public, especially during major national celebrations and important events.
Concluding the ceremony, Minister Luong Tam Quang proposed that agencies and units continue to actively coordinate with the Ministry of Public Security in collecting and promoting the value of precious materials related to the lives and revolutionary careers of President Ho Chi Minh and former senior leaders of the Communist Party of Vietnam, thereby contributing to spreading President Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, morality and lifestyle, preserving historical values and educating younger generations about patriotism and the responsibility to serve the Fatherland and the people.
