
MPS strengthens digital technology cooperation with U.S. partner
Minister of Public Security General Luong Tam Quang hosted a meeting with Kerry Person, Vice President for Data Center Development of Amazon Web Services (AWS), a subsidiary of Amazon, on the afternoon of March 4 in Hanoi.

At the meeting, Minister Luong Tam Quang hailed the positive cooperation results between Amazon and Vietnamese ministries and sectors in recent years, while acclaiming the company’s commitment and long-term cooperation strategy in Vietnam.
The Minister emphasized that Vietnam is a market with great development potential and one of the fastest-growing economies in Southeast Asia, which has a high-quality workforce of research and development engineers and a favorable investment environment in alignment with investment plans of foreign enterprises, including those from the United States.
Minister Luong Tam Quang affirmed that, on the basis of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between Vietnam and the United States, the Ministry of Public Security will continue to create stable and favorable conditions for U.S. enterprises, including Amazon, to invest and do business in Vietnam in accordance with the Vietnamese law and international law.
On behalf of AWS and Amazon, Vice President Kerry Person expressed sincere gratitude to Minister Luong Tam Quang for his support for cooperation activities between Amazon and its Vietnamese partners.
He also commended Vietnam for its vision on promoting digital transformation, innovation and the development of secure and sustainable digital infrastructure.
The AWS representative reaffirmed Amazon’s commitment to further developing high-quality human resources in Vietnam, and expressed a desire to expand practical cooperation with Vietnamese partners in the coming period.
Vice President Kerry Person also expressed confidence that the joint efforts of both sides will contribute to further strengthening the Vietnam–U.S. relationship and promoting shared prosperity, bringing tangible benefits to the two countries.
