People’s Security Academy opens 2025–2026 academic year

Deputy Minister of Public Security Senior Lieutenant General Pham The Tung attended and delivered a keynote speech at the ceremony.

Speaking at the event, PSA Director Major General Trinh Ngoc Quyen underlined that, thanks the sound leadership of the Public Security Central Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security, the PSA successfully fulfilled its assigned tasks and achieved numerous outstanding results in the 2024–2025 academic year, further consolidating its position as a leading training institution of the Public Security Forces.

On behalf of the Public Security Central Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security, Deputy Minister Pham The Tung praised the PSA for its exceptional achievements over the past year.

The Deputy Minister stressed that, in the context of profound global changes, especially with digital technology and artificial intelligence reshaping education worldwide, every country must redefine its vision and strategy for education and training in the future.

From the beginning of the new academic year, Deputy Minister Pham The Tung requested, the PSA should focus on drafting and implementing concrete education and training projects, programs and plans with specific tasks and solutions, while strengthening collaboration with relevant agencies on its development road toward a national key tertiary education institution and a regional center for scientific research and training experts in cybersecurity and hi-tech crime prevention by 2030.

He also urged the PSA to renovate its education and training and comprehensively improve the quality of its education and training in line with Politburo Resolution No. 71 on creating breakthroughs in education and training development. He suggested strengthening the combination of theory and practice in education and training, modernizing school governance, upgrading facilities and training programs in line with national and international standards.

Deputy Minister Pham The Tung expressed his hope that PSA cadets will do their utmost in their studies and training, uphold responsibility, political steadfastness and discipline, acquire more knowledge, skills and working methods to meet the increasingly high requirements for the task of safeguarding national security in the era of national growth and international integration.
