Public Security Central Party Organization contributes significantly to three draft documents at the 14th party congress

According the official schedule of the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV), delegates worked in groups to give opinions on four important draft documents on the afternoon of January 20, 2026.

These include the draft political report of the 13th Party Central Committee; the draft report reviewing a number of theoretical and practical issues of the socialist-oriented renewal process over the past 40 years in Vietnam; the draft report reviewing 15 years of implementation of the Party Statutes (2011 – 2025), and proposals and orientations for amendments and supplements to the Party Statutes.

At the discussion session of the Delegation of the Public Security Central Party Committee, Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Public Security Central Party Committee and Minister of Public Security Luong Tam Quang chaired the discussion.

Delegates expressed a high level of consensus with the contents of the documents, affirming that the preparation for the documents had been conducted in a thorough, serious, rigorous, scientific and modern manner. 

The documents clearly reflect strong innovation in development thinking, closely linked to practical realities while each objective, solution or proposal in the documents requires specific action plans and clearly determines responsibility and expected results.

The delegates gave a number of opinions on the missions of safeguarding national security and ensuring social order and safety in the new situation. As requested by the chair, delegates representing various units with their respective areas of responsibility discussed and made contributions to the draft documents.

The contributions focused on key missions of the People’s Public Security Forces’ of thoroughly grasping security and order situations, promptly advising the Party and the State on both foreign and domestic security policies, as well as contributing positively to achieving the national target of double-digit economic growth, shaping a new growth model, turning challenges into opportunities for development and preventing the country from falling into a strategic disadvantage.

The opinions focused on ensuring that the People’s Public Security Forces firmly grasp developments, promptly advise the Party and the State on the formulation of foreign and domestic policies, effectively support the goal of achieving double-digit economic growth and contribute to shaping a new growth model, turning challenges into opportunities for development and preventing the country from falling into a strategic disadvantage.

Delegates further emphasized the need to firmly safeguard national security; strengthen the protection of regime security, political system security, cultural and ideological security, economic security, cybersecurity and data security; promptly identify and address potential and emerging risks to security and order to avoid strategic surprise; and effectively combat new methods and tactics of crime, thereby protecting peace and safety for the people and effectively serving the country’s socio-economic development.
