Deputy Minister of Public Security Lieutenant General Dang Hong Duc attended and delivered a keynote speech at the conference.
In her opening remarks, Director of the Department of Health under the Ministry of Public Security Major General Pham Thi Lan Anh emphasized that for the Public Security Forces, the green transition is not only the implementation of the major orientations of the Party, the State and the Government, but also an objective requirement in building revolutionary, professional, elite and modern Public Security Forces.
She stressed that the forces should not only be politically and professionally strong, but also take the lead in environmental protection, climate change adaptability, energy security, environmental security and human security.
Focusing on the overarching theme, the conference received numerous in-depth reports discussing four core areas:
First, discussing the Party and State’s policies on green transition, sustainable development and Vietnam’s national roadmap for green transformation.
Second, analyzing the green transition process in the Public Security Forces from the economic perspective.
Third, the Public Security Forces’ tasks of implementing Vietnam’s green transition goals including green energy transition in their operational, administrative and logistical activities.
Fourth, sharing practical experiences and successful models of green technologies, renewable energy solutions, and circular economy models.
Addressing the conference, Deputy Minister Dang Hong Duc requested all public security units and agencies to thoroughly review and add green-transition objectives to their policies, strategic planning and development programmes.
He also underscored the need to proactively monitor the situation and provide timely strategic advice to the Party and the State on issues related to green transition and the mastery of green technology.
The Deputy Minister further requested competent agencies to strictly address environmental crimes and violations, strengthen the control of vehicle emissions and create favourable conditions to accelerate the green transition across sectors.
He expressed his hope that the green transition will become a practical and widespread movement throughout the Public Security Forces, contributing actively to the successful implementation of the National Strategy on Green Growth, the Just Energy Transition goals and the broader agenda for sustainable national development.
